I wanted to wrap my little “series” on the Atlas site before my life starts to get a bit more hectic. A few months ago, I felt unhappy with the way the Atlas pages looked and wanted to try to clean up the pages a bit. I knew that the CSS was crufty and the look and feel wasn’t as consistent as I would like.
I also was trying to figure out how to style a site to make it seem more modern–increased white space, stronger content blocks, and just a cleaner presentation of elements on the page. The screen shot of the landing page above gives you a basic sense of what I came up with.
